Is Bite Blocker Insect Repellent A Suitable Replacement For Chemical Solutions

Bite Blocker insect repellent provides a genuine alternative to the harsh DEET based solutions which are so commonly used. While it may not suit everyone, or even be usable in the toughest circumstances, it is a safe plant based alternative which genuinely does repel insects. There is a lot of misunderstanding regarding natural insect repellants, much of it caused by an ill thought out action on behalf of the European government. This government has banned the sale of natural insect repellants, if they claim to be what they clearly are.

The products can still be sold as products, with nothing more on the label than a list of ingredients, but it is no longer possible to advertise them as having insect repellent qualities. This is clearly going to lead people to believe that the claims that these products can protect you from insects are false, and that the government is protecting people against dishonest merchants. This is definitely not the case, as there are many clinical trials to prove the effectiveness of these natural products.

There are also misconceptions concerning chemical based products, which are marketed as being completely effective. DEET clearly is the most effective material in combating insect bites, and it is as safe to the skin as it is claimed to be. As with most other chemicals which are used on or in the human body, it is not without its negative side. Tests on workers who are exposed to DEET on a regular basis show that their brainwave patterns are chemically affected, resulting in loss of sleep and a reduction of mental cognizance. There is a strong reason for long term users of natural products to start thinking more naturally.

There are many possible natural solutions to the problem, but very few are truly effective in the harshest of conditions. Only a few, of which Bite Blocker insect repellent is one, are effective against the threat of mosquito bite, which is the most important feature of an insect repellent. You can protect yourself against lesser threats using other types of insect repellent, but there are only a few that deal adequately with the mosquito threat.

Even a natural solution such as Bite Blocker insect repellent has some negative aspects. Firstly, the amount of time it takes before the solution wears off can be variable. DEET based chemical products will last a lot longer before they need to be replaced. On the other hand, Bite Blocker is less harsh to the skin, so the persistent re-applications are not likely to cause any serious problem. Bite Blocker is also a sticky solution, so it needs to be well rubbed in. Finally, it does have a distinctive odor which some may find problematic. If you can cope with these drawbacks, you can find the protection you are looking for with Bite Blocker insect repellent.
